It’s Groundhog Day!  Whether or not you consider a groundhog seeing his shadow an indicator of the weather, it’s a reminder that sooner or later winter will be over.  Nearly everyday I hear someone making the comment, ‘I’m ready for warmer weather,’ but I know that when summer is here, we’ll just be wishing for cooler weather again!

In order to celebrate Groundhog day, hike a local trail to enjoy the beauty of winter.

The results:  Camera in tow, I set out in the 21 degree weather, to discover what I could see.  I find photography a fun hobby – I’m not even sure I could consider myself an amateur photographer – but if I enjoy it, what does it matter?!?!  Today, as I looked for photo opportunities, I found myself noticing details in nature that I might have otherwise missed.  It was an enjoyable, beautiful hour in the cold, plus I got some fresh air and and some exercise – always a good thing!
